“Rice of the Incas”, quinoa has been cultivated for more than 5000 years BC. Quinoa is used as a cereal, although it is part of the chenopodiaceae, like spinach and beets. Quinoa seeds look like little discs that are slightly yellow in color.
French quinoa has smaller grains than its big brother from the Americas. Increasingly popular, quinoa is now found on all major tables.
Very easy to cook, quinoa can be mixed with meat and fish and can also be eaten in salads!
