White daikon radishes can be eaten as takuan (or Tokyo takuan), when the radish is pickled. Yellow in colour, these crisp radishes are often cut into long strips and incorporated into sushi.
You can also add it as a garnish to grilled fish, meat or tofu, fry it with meat or vegetables for a delicious stir-fry, add it to a bowl of rice, or slice it thinly to accompany a drink at an aperitif!
