Broccolini has small florets, usually dark green in color, a thin stalk that is usually light green. It has an earthy flavor that's mild and sweet. It's very versatile when it comes to cooking and can be used in a variety of tasty ways. It's an excellent source of vitamin A and C. Very good source of folacin and Vitamin E.
But our favorite part of broccolini is its texture. The long stems have a pleasant crunch, and the ratio of stem to leaf to bud is pretty perfect, if you ask us.
Cooking with broccolini is a dream. A quick toss in olive oil and a few pinches of salt is the simplest way to season them pre-roast or pre-sauté.
